Banque Populaire Méditerranée is taking advantage of Olympic and Paralympic Week to organize several activities for Marseille students around water sports and protection of the sea.
As a partner of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Banque Populaire Méditerranée is involved in Olympic and Paralympic Week which begins today. Several activities around sailing, surfing and the protection of the sea will be offered by this mutual bank present in the South Region for Marseilles schools. Tomorrow, a commented sea trip to discover the future harbor for sailing events will be organized for schools, in partnership with the Office de la Mer. The future nautical base for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will be the theater for initiations sailing for people with disabilities, in association with the Voiles au Large association. A visit to the Pôle France de Voile in Marseille for a college class is also scheduled for Thursday.
As environmental protection is an important theme for the Banque Populaire, an awareness day will be held this Friday with college students with an outing around the collection of waste and bulky items in a Marseille cove, in partnership with the association Clean My Calanques . Several athletes will be mobilized during this period, Éric Dargent, captain of the France Paralympic surfing team, will speak in front of college classes and give a web conference “Sport, Handicap and Innovation” to STAPS students from the University Aix-Marseille. College students will also meet Kévin Peponnet and Jérémie Mion (photo), members of the French Olympic sailing team and the BPMED Sailing Team.
