Noirmoutier Classic 2024: An Unmissable Regatta
From August 2 to 4, 2024, the island of Noirmoutier hosts the 25th edition of the Noirmoutier Classic, an event organized by the Cercle de la Voile du Bois de la Chaize (CVBC).
The Noirmoutier Classic will be the third stage of the AMA (Atlantique Métrique Association) Metric Challenge and will be part of the Atlantic Channel Classic Challenge (CCMA). Attracting an exceptional fleet of classic boats, this event is a must-see on the nautical calendar.
The Eugène CORNU Challenge
New this year, the Noirmoutier Classic inaugurates the first stage of the second Challenge Eugène CORNU, in partnership with the Yacht Club de La Baule. This emblematic event of La Belle Plaisance will take place over four days of nautical celebrations. On August 5, a “trans-bay” will take the fleet from l'Herbaudière to Pornic for the Voiles de Tradition, then to Pouliguen on August 6 for the final round of the Challenge Eugène CORNU.
The 2024 edition reinforces the unique position of Noirmoutier as the only city in Vendée and the Atlantic arc to organize a regatta covering three major Challenges: Metric, Classic and Eugène CORNU. The CVBC continues to promote the island, its values of friendliness and sportsmanship, attracting participants from all over the world.
