The WASZP European Games will head to Quiberon Bay from July 17 to 23, 2023 for the first major international championship of the class in France. Based at the National School of Sailing and Water Sports (ENVSN), the event is expected to attract more than 150 boats!
Quiberon Bay is a foiling paradise and the ideal location for WASZP races. Protected from the Atlantic by the Quiberon peninsula, the large bay offers flat water and multiple course areas for all wind conditions. Thermal wind and prevailing westerly breezes blow across the low-lying causeway, resulting in buttery flat water and consistent foiling conditions for racing.
As with any WASZP event, entry is open to all WASZP sailors. Beginners are encouraged to participate and enjoy the experience of a WASZP Championship! There will be training sessions, post-race debriefings and technical discussions that will provide some of the best learning opportunities for sailors across the fleet. WASZP events are always inclusive and have participants of all abilities, ages, genders and nationalities, so all sailors are guaranteed to find like-minded people to sail and compete with!
