Description
Departing from Carsac-Aillac, embark on a canoe to explore the Dordogne valley, in one of its most historic parts.
At the bend of its meanders, you will discover the multiple facets and riches that abound in the river: wild landscapes, cliffs overlooking the valley and small beaches. The walk will also offer you a unique point of view on the castles of Montfort, Castelnaud-la-chapelle and Beynac. At the end of the ride, you will cross the magnificent listed village of Roque Gageac at the foot of the cliffs where the famous troglodyte dwellings of the Dordogne are nestled.
You can enjoy on a day but also on hikes over several days.
